Job Title: Assistant Principal

Join the Jasper County School District team as an Assistant Principal, playing a vital role in the administration of our schools. As a key member of our leadership team, you will assist the Principal in overseeing the overall school program, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Principal in planning, scheduling, and supervision of students and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with district policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement effective discipline plans and procedures.
  • Supervise and evaluate school staff, including teachers and support personnel.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to improve student achievement and behavior.
  • Manage school operations, including transportation, custodial, and food services.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents, teachers, and the community.
Requirements:
  • South Carolina Professional Leadership Certificate with endorsement for principal or supervisor.
  • Master's degree or higher with at least five years of experience as a classroom teacher and two years of experience in public school administration.
  • Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.
  • Bilingual (English or Spanish) preferred.
Working Conditions:

Work in a school environment with minimal exposure to environmental conditions. Physical demands are restricted to school activities requiring movement/lifting items weighing up to 10 pounds. Occasional local and overnight travel required.
