Job Title: Assistant Principal

Job Summary

The Assistant Principal will assist the Principal in the overall administration of the school, providing leadership and support to students, teachers, and staff. This role requires a strong understanding of educational principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Principal in planning, scheduling, and supervision of students and staff.
  • Develop and implement school policies and procedures to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff to improve instructional practices and student outcomes.
  • Monitor and analyze student data to inform instructional decisions and improve student achievement.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement curriculum and instructional plans.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and staff to ensure a positive and supportive school community.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
  • Masters degree or higher in Education or related field.
  • South Carolina Professional Leadership Certificate with endorsement for principal or supervisor at the appropriate school level.
  • At least five years of experience as a classroom teacher and at least two years of experience in public school administration.
  • Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.
  • Bilingual (English or Spanish) preferred.
Working Conditions

This role requires a strong understanding of educational principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. The Assistant Principal will work in a school environment with minimal exposure to environmental conditions.

The incumbent is responsible for the performance of other related duties as assigned/required.
