About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Infection Preventionist to join our team at Milford Health & Rehabilitation Center. As an Infection Preventionist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control programs to prevent the spread of infections.
  • Provide oversight of infection control and prevention policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assessment & Assurance Committee to identify and address infection control concerns.
  • Develop and deliver staff education programs to promote infection prevention and control practices.
  • Track, analyze, and present surveillance trends to inform infection control decisions.
Requirements
  • Valid state RN license.
  • Degree in nursing, epidemiology, biology, or microbiology.
  • Infection Control and Prevention Certification.
  • Experience in a Long-Term Care or similar healthcare setting.
  • Strong clinical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
