About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Optum. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services, providing exceptional patient care, and maintaining a safe and sterile environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preoperative Case Management
    • Prepare the operating room and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available
    • Don operating room attire and personal protective equipment
    • Assist in the preparation of the patient for surgery
  • Intraoperative Case Management
    • Assist the surgical team during the procedure, passing instruments and supplies as needed
    • Monitor the sterile field and maintain a safe and clean environment
    • Assist with the handling and preparation of specimens
  • Postoperative Case Management
    • Assist with the care and maintenance of the patient after surgery
    • Help to prepare the operating room for the next patient
    • Participate in the cleaning and disinfection of the operating room
Requirements
  • Current WA State Surgical Technologist Registration (ST)
  • Current AHA/BLS Certification
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technologists (preferred)
  • Current ORT (Operating Room Technician) certification (preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience as a surgical technologist in an acute care setting or a busy multi-specialty ASC (preferred)
