We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor in Hydrology and Water Sustainability to join our Department of Geology and Environmental Science at the University of Pittsburgh.
About the PositionThis tenure-track position is designed to attract a researcher with expertise in identifying and modeling hydrologic change, as well as an interest in solutions to water challenges. The successful candidate will complement existing research clusters and establish an externally funded, internationally recognized research program.
Research Areas of Interest- Surface water hydrology
- Groundwater hydrology
- Interacting roles of climate variability and land use change on hydrologic processes
- Physical models of ecohydrologic processes from the plot to the global scale
- Volcanic and planetary hydrology
The department offers a range of undergraduate and graduate courses in the candidate's area of expertise. Teaching duties will include undergraduate and graduate courses in the candidate's area of expertise.
