About the Role

This position involves a blend of fieldwork and office work, with a focus on assessments, design, construction observations, quality assurance, and consulting services related to building envelope systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction practices, including terminology, building materials, and field investigation methods related to building performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct evaluations of existing building envelope systems and structures to identify and assess their condition.
  • Investigate distress conditions or failures in building systems and prepare technical reports with findings and recommendations.
  • Develop details and specifications for repairing or restoring existing building structures and systems.
  • Provide building envelope consulting services for construction projects, offering guidance on material selection and design details.
  • Accurately document and communicate field conditions to the project leader and team for effective analysis and problem-solving.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Building Science, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 7 plus years of construction-related experience, with a background in building envelope systems.
  • Strong understanding of construction practices, including terminology, building materials, and field investigation methods related to building performance.
Estimated Salary Range:

$80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
