Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is a key member of our team at FPI Management, responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our apartment homes, buildings, and grounds. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • General Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs to flooring, drywall, and appliances, as well as troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, safety, and security systems.
  • Painting and Cleaning: Paint interior and exterior surfaces, and clean common areas, including sweeping, mopping, and garden/yard upkeep.
  • Inspections and Compliance: Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including NSPIRE, MOR, TCAC, and CALFHA.
  • Client Relations: Maintain positive relationships with clients, residents, and vendors, ensuring excellent customer service and communication.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in residential property management.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalency certificate required; technical school and/or CAMT certification preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient in plumbing repair, painting, electrical repair, drywall installation/repair, carpentry, boiler systems, and appliance repair.
  • Language: Fluent in English, with basic computer skills and ability to use Google Drive and Gmail.
