Job Summary

Afton Properties is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our properties, including plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect buildings and identify potential maintenance issues
  • Maintain inventory and schedule repairs as needed
  • Provide customer service and guidance to tenants
  • Conduct repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as painting and basic appliance repairs
  • Respond to maintenance requests from residents and address any concerns in a timely manner
  • Inspect the property regularly to identify potential maintenance issues and proactively address them
  • Ensure the property is clean and well-maintained, including common areas, grounds, and amenities
  • Participate in on-call rotation for emergency maintenance requests outside of regular business hours
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, supplies, and equipment
  • Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team and property management to prioritize and complete tasks effectively
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and community policies
Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver's license
  • Ability to understand instructions verbally and in written form
  • Ability to communicate effectively, multi-task, and have good organizational skills
  • Ability to frequently stand and walk
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to frequently lift, climb, kneel, stoop, crouch, and/or crawl
  • Ability to work around chemical cleaning solutions
