About the Role

Meridian Adhesives Group is seeking a highly skilled Site Operating Leader to lead the daily operations of their manufacturing facility in Fort Wayne, IN. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, assigning weekly performance goals, and ensuring their completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and plant environments, particularly with batch-manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations and assign weekly performance goals
  • Manage projects to design, build, and commission new manufacturing operations at the site
  • Directly manage site manufacturing, shipping and receiving, maintenance, planning and scheduling, capital project execution, and overseeing quality indirectly
  • Be involved in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of high-performing employees
  • Maintain project timelines and ensure tasks are accomplished on time
  • Implement and maintain provided budgetary and resource allocation plans
  • Work closely with Division Commercial Presidents to ensure required product supply and quality levels
  • Help facilitate the optimization of expenses at the local facility
  • Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
  • Prepare regular reports for upper management
  • Provide solutions to issues and perform other related duties as required

Requirements

  • Ten or more years of related experience required
  • Experience in manufacturing and plant environments is required, particularly with batch-manufacturing
  • Ability to motivate supervisors to drive operational excellence
  • Demonstrates effectiveness in competencies of initiative, problem-solving, action-orientation, self-starting, critical thinking, and teamwork
  • Demonstrates strong leadership qualities and the ability to develop employees' relations and success in promoting a positive workplace culture
  • Excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy, fast-growth environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite is essential
  • Exhibit extraordinary discretion, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with senior management
  • Relentless focus on safety

Education Credentials

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, operations, engineering, or related field is preferred
