Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate actionable research to enhance performance and advance the health of Oklahomans.
  • Champion the concept of "food is medicine" and utilize innovative research resources to establish evidence-based best practices that use nutrition to boost performance and prevent chronic illnesses.
  • Work closely with the Associate Director of Outreach to integrate nutrition science into health promotion through a performance lens.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote health equity and address health disparities.
Requirements
  • Ph.D./Ed.D in Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health, or related field.
  • Three years of experience in nutrition research, clinical practice, or community health promotion.
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or credential eligible (Must have RD credentials within 6 months).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse stakeholders and translate complex scientific concepts into accessible language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a performance setting.
  • Experience in grant writing and securing external funding.
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting health equity and addressing health disparities.
