Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Construction Superintendent to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
  • Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, and clients to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs and maintain high standards of workmanship.
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status and analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques, and manage the budget and estimate costs.
  • Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local construction regulations are met.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction management or a related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
  • Familiarity with construction management software.
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills.
  • Ability to plan and see the 'big picture.'
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for quality workmanship.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
