Chipton-Ross is seeking a skilled FPGA/ASIC Design Engineer for a contract opportunity in Camden, NJ.

This is a high-impact role in the organization, responsible for the architecture, implementation, and verification/validation of complex FPGAs and/or ASICs systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with high-level synthesis, embedded software development, and high-speed protocols such as PCIe, TCP/IP, and Ethernet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement complex digital circuits using VHDL and Verilog.
  • Develop and integrate high-speed protocols for communication systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust quality and delivery of communication products.
  • Write and debug tests/sequences for end-to-end simulation using UVM framework and System Verilog Assertions.
  • Develop and debug C++ based SW driven validation on SOC evaluation boards.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in FPGA/ASIC design and implementation.
  • Proficiency in VHDL, Verilog, and high-level synthesis tools.
  • Knowledge of high-speed protocols and embedded software development.
  • Excellent analytical and debugging skills.
  • Good verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred.
