Job Summary

We are actively searching for a junior-level Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Long Beach, Tampa, and Vancouver offices. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for performing 3D modeling and analysis of mechanical systems, preparing design documents, and engineering and designing mechanical portions of waterfront facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform 3D modeling and analysis of mechanical systems
  • Prepare design documents (plans and specifications) with an emphasis on utility service design
  • Engineer and design mechanical portions of waterfront facilities, including marinas, container terminals, marine oil terminals, and pump stations
  • Conduct 3D model reviews, clash checks, and interdisciplinary reviews of developed drawing packages
  • Participate in and conduct quality control reviews of deliverables
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering design related to bulk material handling
  • Experience in design of bulk material handling projects
  • Acknowledgement in developing equipment specification, calculation, data sheets, drawings reviews, and other documents related to mechanical design
  • Design experience in industrial complex and/or marine terminals is a plus
  • General understanding of process design, process flow diagram development, and piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID) development
  • Experience in piping design and other mechanical equipment; 3D design development experience a plus (Plant 3D, Revit, Civil 3D, etc.)
  • Some planning and task management skills
  • AutoCAD experience
Working Conditions

Sedentary for prolonged periods of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally.
