About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our team at Augusta University. As a key member of our Student Health Services department, you will provide exceptional mental health care to our students, promoting their overall well-being and academic success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of mental health conditions to registered students at Augusta University.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and medication management as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for students.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in psychiatry and mental health care.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and open communication.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited medical school (MD or DO) and completion of internship and psychiatry residency.
  • Unrestricted license as a physician in the state of Georgia with current board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
  • Unrestricted DEA and CPR certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Experience in providing mental health services to college students, adolescents, and emerging adults in an outpatient setting.
