Job Summary

MiTek USA is seeking a seasoned AI Vision Engineering Lead to spearhead the development and deployment of cutting-edge computer vision solutions. As a key member of our engineering team, you will design, develop, and optimize AI models, applications, and frameworks that transform the building industry.

We are looking for a visionary leader with a strong background in computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning. Your expertise will drive innovation, accelerate project delivery, and ensure seamless collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute AI Strategy: Design and implement AI solutions that align with MiTek's business objectives, leveraging state-of-the-art computer vision techniques for object detection, text extraction, segmentation, face recognition, and video analysis.
  • Lead Complex AI Projects: Spearhead predictive modeling, machine learning, statistical analysis, and data visualization initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and Coach Junior Engineers: Develop and lead junior members of the AI team, providing guidance, mentorship, and training to enhance their skills and career growth.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with engineers, product managers, and researchers to deliver high-quality products and services, ensuring effective communication and seamless project execution.
  • Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Stay current with the latest developments and advancements in computer vision and artificial intelligence, applying this knowledge to drive innovative solutions.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Related Field: A degree in a related field required; preferably with a focus on computer vision, image processing, or machine learning.
  • 5+ Years of Experience in Computer Vision and Machine Learning: Proven experience in developing and deploying computer vision applications using deep learning and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
  • Excellent Communication and Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Python and SQL: Proficiency in Python and SQL programming languages, along with experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with Parallel and Distributed Computing Frameworks: Familiarity with parallel and distributed computing frameworks and platforms such as PySpark, Cuda, or Databricks highly preferred.
