About the Role

We are seeking an experienced A&P Mechanic Lead to join our team at StandardAero. As a key member of our aviation team, you will be responsible for leading projects, coaching, and overseeing the activities of A&P Mechanics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Aircraft Maintenance Projects: Coordinate and delegate assignments to technicians, provide technical guidance, and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Perform routine maintenance and major inspections on corporate aircraft, troubleshoot, repair, and modify aircraft components and engines.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and oversee the activities of A&P Mechanics, providing guidance and instruction on proper mechanical procedures and techniques.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Make sound decisions and take expedient action to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Aircraft Preparation: Ensure proper placement and protection of aircraft or engines in the hangar or shop, and perform incoming inspections.
  • Scope of Work: Review Customer Request for Service Forms with the Crew Chief to determine the scope of work to be performed.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Maintain and service aircraft or engines, analyze technical problems, and determine causes and methods of repair.
Requirements
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant License: Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License required.
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, minimum of 5 years' experience as an A&P Mechanic in corporate aviation, and two years' experience in electronics and/or avionics in the aviation industry or military equivalent.
  • Technical Competency: Technical competency on assigned aircraft/engine(s) required.
  • Analytical Skills: Analytical skills required to perform complex mechanical troubleshooting.
Preferred Characteristics
  • Aviation Training: Aviation training preferred.
  • Factory Authorized Training: Factory authorized training on assigned aircraft or engines is preferred.
  • Engine Run Certification: Engine run certification is preferred.
