Position Overview:
Saab, Inc. Surveillance Systems is seeking a Lead Financial Strategist to become a vital part of the Business Finance team.

This role will directly report to the Defense Finance Manager within Surveillance Systems and will deliver comprehensive financial support for various contracts, including those with the Department of Defense (DoD), while conducting business and indirect cost assessments.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide financial oversight for assigned contracts and collaborate with program teams to monitor and predict financial outcomes.
2. Implement and manage Earned Value Management (EVM) processes, which include generating analyses, metrics, and reporting. Conduct cost and schedule variance assessments and oversee project control activities.
3. Assist in the creation and upkeep of the program budget baseline, which encompasses work authorization and baseline change requests.
4. Forecast and monitor revenue recognition, cash flow, program expenditures, and Estimates at Completion, ensuring timely variance reporting.
5. Review program contracts to confirm compliance with all clauses and DoD regulations.
6. Monitor program receivables and identify opportunities to enhance cash flow.
7. Collaborate across functions to ensure contracts adhere to budgetary constraints and timelines.
8. Lead proposal costing and pricing initiatives, including cash flow analysis and review of RFP clauses for compliance.
9. Advise program team members and senior management on the financial status of programs.
10. Prepare and deliver both external and internal financial reports.

Work alongside Program Managers and the Finance Manager to ensure program forecasts are accurately represented in business Profit & Loss statements and cash flow projections for annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term planning.

Contribute to process enhancement initiatives. Collaborate with the department to identify, propose, and implement process improvement strategies to facilitate more precise and efficient reporting.

Compensation Range:
$75,800-$94,800

The compensation range provided serves as a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc.

takes into account various factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, along with the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.


Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting
MBA Degree preferred, but not mandatory
6+ years of relevant experience
Financial analysis experience within the U.S. DoD contracting sector

Essential Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including but not limited to pivot tables, formulas, and graphing
Expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts, systems, and reporting
Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and other general accounting principles
Experience with U.S. Government Contracting, including familiarity with FAR, DFARS, and CAS regulations.
Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to collaborate and work effectively with various cross-functional teams and across different organizational levels
Effective problem-solving skills and analytical thinking

Preferred Experience and Skills:
Familiarity with Oracle E-business Suite or other ERP systems, Cobra, and other financial management software is advantageous but not required.

Must be a U.S. citizen.
