Job Summary:

U-Haul is seeking a skilled Automotive Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a preventive maintenance specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our fleet of trucks and trailers. Your expertise in vehicle repair and maintenance will be essential in keeping our equipment in top condition for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with trucks and trailers.
  • Use proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklists to ensure thorough inspections.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve common goals and objectives.

Requirements:
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience.
  • Driver's license.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Regular attendance.

Work Environment:

The work involves manual labor and the ability to work safely and to be alert at all times. You may be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, safety shoes, goggles, gloves or shields.
