Job Summary:

Southeastern Co-Operative Educational Programs is seeking a dedicated and experienced Education Professional to join our team. As an Instructional Specialist, you will be responsible for providing instructional and behavioral programming for student participants in a culinary arts program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with career/technology staff to establish a common vision for the culinary arts program through proper community connections.
  • Maintain the kitchen and products throughout the year.
  • Develop and implement instructional plans to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
  • Provide direct classroom instruction to students with challenging behaviors.
  • Work effectively with students, staff, and community partners to achieve program goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Possess or be eligible for a Virginia Teaching License (Special Education license preferred).
  • Experience in providing direct classroom instruction to students with disabilities.
  • Physical ability to work effectively with students with challenging behaviors.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including summer months.
