Biotechnology Assay Consultant

Position Overview: Our client, a pioneering clinical-stage biotechnology firm, is focused on advancing innovative cell therapies to address significant medical challenges. They are seeking an experienced Assay Development Consultant to join their team on a part-time basis for a duration of 4-6 months.

Role Expectations: This consultancy role will require approximately 40 hours of commitment per month, translating to about 10 hours per week. The position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements.

Project Focus: The consultant will play a crucial role in the development of a functional assay for cell therapy. Key responsibilities will include conducting detailed analyses of RNA sequencing and investigating potential neurological applications.

Essential Qualifications:

• Over 10 years of experience in assay development within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors.
• A Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Proven expertise in assay development and validation using cell-based methods.
• Significant experience in analyzing single-cell RNA sequencing data.
• Strong background in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), collaborating with Quality Control, Analytical Development, and Process Development teams.
• In-depth knowledge of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) techniques.
• Prior involvement in cell and gene therapy projects.
