Job Title: Associate Chaplain

At Northwell Health, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Associate Chaplain to join our team. As a key member of our spiritual care team, you will play a vital role in providing emotional and spiritual support to patients, their loved ones, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and arrange appropriate chaplaincy care to patients, residents, and staff in specific areas of the hospital or to particular faith groups.
  • Respond to requests for chaplaincy care in a timely and compassionate manner.
  • Participate in the offering of worship opportunities and the meeting of ritual and sacramental needs.
  • Assist in the coordination of clergy and pastoral visitors from the religious community.
  • Maintain records of chaplaincy activities to communicate with other members of the department and report to department/institution.
  • Participate in the department's plan for continuous quality improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 0-1 years of relevant experience, required.
