Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team in New York City. The successful candidate will be responsible for addressing the behavioral health needs of our patients through comprehensive evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine clients' diagnosis and psychiatric needs, prescribe medication as necessary, and monitor treatment course
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, updates, and crisis intervention as required
  • Maintain a collaborative practice agreement with a psychiatrist and work closely with the interdisciplinary team
  • Prescribe, recommend, or discontinue drugs and treatments to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders
  • Collaborate with the care team, including psychiatrists, LCSWs, LMSWs, Behavioral Health Case Managers, Medical Case Managers, physicians, nurse practitioners, and nurses

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing or equivalent
  • New York State Nurse Practitioner License and Current Registration
  • BLS-certified
  • DEA Registered
  • MAT Certified
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a nurse practitioner
  • Excellent Oral and written communication skills
  • Possess the skills to appropriately assess/de-escalate/intervene in crisis
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Demonstrate ability to interact with multicultural staff and clients, including clients of the LGBTQ community
