Job Summary

Monument Health is seeking a skilled Dialysis Technician to join our team. As a Dialysis Technician, you will play a vital role in providing efficient, effective, and safe dialysis treatments to patients while working within national standards and in accordance with the South Dakota Board of Nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the nursing staff in providing dialysis treatments to patients.
  • Perform cannulation of arteriovenous fistula and arteriovenous grafts.
  • Initiate and terminate hemodialysis treatments under the delegation of the Registered Nurse.
  • Collaborate with the Registered Nurse to perform pre, post, and intra-dialytic patient evaluation.
  • Reinforce patient education in the areas of hemodialysis access, ESRD, hemodialysis procedure, and dietary restrictions.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent in General Studies.
  • Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) - Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC).
  • 1+ years of Healthcare Experience (Preferred).

Physical Requirements:

Very Heavy work - exerting over 25 pounds of force constantly, and/or more than 50 pounds frequently, and/or more than 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or more than 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects.

Requires the ability to work designated shift lengths (including 8 and 12 hours), which may include night shifts or occasional irregular hours.
