Job Summary

Monument Health is seeking a skilled Dialysis Technician to join our team. As a Dialysis Technician, you will play a vital role in providing efficient, effective, and safe dialysis treatments to patients. You will work closely with the nursing staff to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the nursing staff in providing dialysis treatments to patients.
  • Prepare and assemble hemodialysis equipment according to provider prescriptions.
  • Perform cannulation of arteriovenous fistula and arteriovenous grafts.
  • Initiate and terminate hemodialysis treatments under the delegation of the Registered Nurse.
  • Conduct pre, post, and intra-dialytic patient evaluations, including vital signs, fluid status, and vascular access evaluation.
  • Reinforce patient education on hemodialysis access, ESRD, and dietary restrictions.
  • Report actual/potential problems to the appropriate individual(s).

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent in General Studies.
  • Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) - Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC).
  • 1+ years of Healthcare Experience.

Physical Requirements:

Very Heavy work - exerting over 25 pounds of force constantly, and/or more than 50 pounds frequently, and/or more than 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or more than 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects.
