We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Project Engineer to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our engineering consulting firm, you will be responsible for the engineering design of HVAC systems and the overall MEP engineering design, construction administration, and project management for several institutional clients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform load calculations, site surveys, design reviews, and prepare detailed engineering drawings and schematics for MEP systems.
- Conduct field inspections for MEP systems and ensure compliance with building codes and guidelines such as NYS Energy Code, NYS Mechanical Code, NYS Building Code, and NFPA.
- Take ownership of projects from design through construction, working closely with clients to deliver high-quality results.
- Collaborate with our team to develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- 4+ years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering, with a proven track record of taking projects from design to finish.
- Proficient with AutoCAD and building codes and guidelines.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience with estimating on projects and EIT certification are a plus.
