Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Facility Mechanic to join our team at On Target Staffing LLC.

Compensation: $25 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Facility Mechanic will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining a variety of equipment utilized in softgel production and building systems, including HVAC and industrial dehumidification units. The role involves replacing worn components, repairing, and ensuring the optimal operation of machinery.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in a GMP-regulated setting is preferred, with a background in mechanical work for manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong technical skills and mechanical aptitude are essential for effectively diagnosing and repairing industrial machinery and HVAC systems.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent technical education is required, along with proficient math and reading skills.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Mechanic in a pharmaceutical dosage environment is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and capable of installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial equipment and HVAC systems. Responsibilities include:

  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical issues in industrial equipment and HVAC systems.
  • Maintaining daily logs and records of all maintenance activities.
  • Reading schematics and work plans proficiently.
  • Testing equipment to ensure quality operation post-maintenance.
  • Reporting recurring equipment issues and recommending corrective actions to supervisors.

Additional skills include:

  • Basic knowledge of three-phase electrical systems.
  • Good mechanical skills, along with basic machine shop and welding abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and work outdoors as required.
  • Willingness to adapt to shift changes and work overtime as necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour
