We are seeking an Industrial Operations Manager - Environmental Services to lead our service line crew in planning, organizing, and coordinating daily operations. This role includes responsibility for proper equipment operation, driving operational efficiencies at the work site, and ensuring accurate documentation related to the job is completed in a timely fashion.
About the Job
As an Industrial Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
- Reading work orders and ensuring all required equipment is available and operational prior to starting jobs.
- Inspecting equipment and general work areas prior to starting any job.
- Correcting deficiencies that may cause accidents, injuries, lost productivity, or harm to equipment or that are inconsistent with client requirements.
- Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment when required.
- Completing all appropriate paperwork, including service receipts, and submitting to designated management.
- Training Technicians I and II in equipment operation and service line processes.
- Operating all necessary equipment in the service line in accordance with operation training and safety procedures.
- Practicing safety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working.
- Providing industrial services using appropriate techniques, including handwork or manual work in accordance with established methods and applicable regulations.
- Maintaining good housekeeping and cleanliness in the cleaning areas.
- Checking equipment at the start of each shift.
- Leading safety meetings and ensuring HPC safety policies are followed.
- Meeting progress deadlines and efficiently utilizing resources.
- Instructing, providing feedback, directing, and assisting crew members in performing job duties to complete work in accordance with client requirements and company policies, practices, and procedures.
- Enforcing company employee policies and removing employees from their job when required.
- FOLLOWING ALL LOCAL, STATE (PROVINCIAL), AND FEDERAL COMPLIANCE REGULATIONS AND RULES.
- Safely operating vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial), and federal requirements.
- Safely observing all corporate operating guidelines and procedures.
- Observing all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- Being on call for emergency response situations on a rotating basis every other week.
- Participating in site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling hazardous materials.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in industrial emergency response, Hazmat clean-up, confined space entry.
- Supervising/working in confined spaces.
