This organization serves a diverse clientele, offering support for various mental health and substance use challenges to over 19,000 individuals annually.
The Psychiatrist will be responsible for conducting thorough evaluations of patients to establish accurate psychiatric diagnoses and develop a biopsychosocial case formulation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and/or engage in the treatment process for all patients under their care.
- Evaluate patients for the necessity of psychiatric medications and prescribe appropriate psychotropic medications.
- Order relevant laboratory tests to aid in differential diagnosis and ensure the safety of prescribed treatments.
- Collaborate with both internal and external healthcare providers regarding shared patients' treatment plans.
- Review and endorse all necessary documentation related to patient care and treatment, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Participate in medical staff meetings as required.
