Patient Care Technician

As a Patient Care Technician in our Critical Care department, you will play a vital role in providing direct clinical and support services to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct clinical and support services to patients in the Critical Care department, including obtaining vital signs, bathing and feeding, dressing wounds, and assisting with hygiene.
- Perform a variety of environmental and inventory activities to ensure a safe, clean, and appropriately equipped environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Contribute to the efficient operation of the Critical Care department, ensuring quality patient/family clinical outcomes.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or GED certificate.
- Certification in basic life support (BLS), including CPR certification (must be current or obtained within 30 days of employment).
- Ability to pass clinical competency testing.
- Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
- Basic math and computer proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of previous experience as a Patient Care Technician in an acute hospital setting.
- Currently enrolled in a nursing program and have completed two cycles of clinical rotation.
- Completed an approved Patient Care Technician training.
- Completed an approved certified medical assistant training.
- One year of previous experience as an EMT or field medic (considered for adult ED positions only).
