The Clinical Charge Nurse plays a vital role in identifying patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, planning, and delegating care based on patient needs. This position requires the execution of therapeutic physician orders and nursing interventions, as well as evaluating patient response to care and progress towards patient outcomes. The Clinical Charge Nurse coordinates care between other professional disciplines as needed and helps patients and/or staff identify problems and explores alternative choices and outcomes.
Requirements- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Alabama license required; BLS within 90 days of hire required; ACLS certification within 90 days of hire required.
- Experience: Previous nursing experience in a critical care setting with successful demonstration of supervisory and/or management ability required.
- Additional Skills/Abilities: Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
