Job Summary and Qualifications
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and overseeing all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift.

In collaboration with other management team members, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies a commitment to the organization's vision, mission, and values to enhance patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.


Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.

- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other management team members.

- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to foster a teamwork environment that supports improved outcomes and service.

- Uphold a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.

- Support facility efforts to enhance engagement by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.

- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.

- Recommend and implement actions, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitive organization.

- Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.

Qualifications:


- Current Florida license as a Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including ongoing eligibility and duration provisions).
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- 2 Years Associate Degree/Diploma; Bachelor Degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in a Charge Position Role.

HCA Florida Mercy Hospital is a 488-bed facility accredited by the Joint Commission, offering a wide range of medical specialties, including emergency care, heart and vascular care, maternity, and neonatal care.
