Clinical Psychologist II

We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist II to join our team at the Health & Human Services Comm. As a key member of our mental health services team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological assessments, psychotherapy, and other mental health services to our patients.
The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree in psychology, be licensed as a psychologist in the State of Texas, and have experience working with adult patients in a psychiatric population. You will also have excellent clinical skills, be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, and possess superior communication and interpersonal skills.
In this role, you will:
- Administer and interpret psychological tests and conduct diagnostic assessments.
- Prepare and review psychological evaluations and reports for completeness and accuracy.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapies.
- Oversee the design and implementation of special treatment programs.
- Direct psychological activities and programs.
Additionally, you may be required to plan, assign, and/or supervise the work of others and perform related work as assigned.
Essential Job Functions:- Attend work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift, and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy.
- Administer and interpret psychological tests and conduct diagnostic assessments.
- Prepare and review psychological evaluations and reports for completeness and accuracy.
- Knowledge of and skills in interviewing techniques with individuals and families and knowledge of current DSM diagnostic criteria.
- Broad-based understanding of psychological/personality theory and mental disorders.
- Knowledge of administration, scoring, and interpretation of a variety of psychological tests, including personality and intellectual instruments.
- Must be licensed as a Psychologist by the State of Texas or Provisionally Licensed Psychologist by the State of Texas and/or eligible to pursue licensure.
- Must have a doctoral degree based upon a program of study whose content is primarily psychological in nature.
- Successfully completed an internship in clinical or counseling psychology and has documented training and supervised experience in group, individual, and behavioral therapies, psychological assessment, and psychological testing.
- At least one year of experience in an adult patient psychiatric population is preferred.
