Lead Veterinarian

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lead Veterinarian to join our Community Medicine team at the ASPCA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional veterinary care to animals in underserved communities, while also leading and mentoring our team of veterinarians and support staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality, compassionate veterinary care to animals in our clinics and mobile units
- Lead and mentor a team of veterinarians and support staff to ensure excellent patient care and a positive client experience
- Develop and implement medical protocols and procedures to ensure the highest level of care for our patients
- Collaborate with our medical and client operations teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to continuously improve our services and outcomes
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent
- Current New York State Department of Education Veterinary License
- Minimum 3 years of experience in small animal medicine and surgery
- Previous people management experience preferred
- Fear Free Veterinary certification required within 60 days of hire
