Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at the Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle. As a key member of our emergency and critical care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Veterinarians in ensuring quality veterinary care, advocating for pets, and educating clients.
  • Assist with surgical procedures, including running gas anesthesia with or without a surgical ventilator.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records, including health history.
  • Prepare patients for discharge, gather medications, and ensure relevant paperwork is prepared.
  • Implement a fear-free approach to handling patients, adhering to hospital safety protocols and core values.
  • Understand and complete diagnostic tests and treatments requested by attending clinicians.
  • Start and monitor blood product transfusions.
  • Provide care to ICU patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
  • Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and maintain clean and organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
  • Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure seamless patient care.
