ROLE SUMMARY:

In this position, you will oversee daily branch operations under general supervision, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures. You will lead and mentor branch staff in lending and deposit services, ensuring exceptional customer service aligned with our mission. Your role will involve fostering teamwork among branch personnel to deliver efficient and professional member services while ensuring compliance with all Credit Union policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Ensure the branch is operational and ready for business each day.
  2. Maintain the security and safety of the branch environment.
  3. Oversee the management of currency shipments and ensure accurate verification.
  4. Ensure all transactions are balanced at the end of each business day, assisting staff with any discrepancies.
  5. Authorize necessary adjustments and maintain accurate petty cash records.
  6. Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and manage data retention.
  7. Promote cross-selling of Credit Union products and services.
  8. Supervise and guide branch staff to ensure a motivated and professional team capable of delivering excellent member services. This includes interviewing, hiring, scheduling, and conducting performance evaluations.
  9. Coach staff on sales techniques and conduct regular sales meetings to monitor performance.
  10. Provide member services, including account openings, explaining products, and addressing member inquiries.
  11. Resolve complex member issues and ensure compliance with service standards.
  12. Perform Loan Officer duties, including processing loan applications and conducting credit checks.
  13. Maintain relationships with external vendors and stay informed on industry regulations.
  14. Participate in management meetings and engage with community organizations to identify new business opportunities.
  15. Carry out additional managerial duties as assigned by senior management, including supporting various roles as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a BA/BS in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.

Experience and Skills:

  1. 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in branch operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  2. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills.
  4. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  5. Sales acumen and experience in business development.
  6. Capability to work in a financial institution environment and utilize standard office equipment.
