Position Overview:

Role Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist who possesses extensive knowledge and experience in surgical procedures. This individual will provide essential technical support in the care of patients undergoing surgery, working closely under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The Surgical Technologist will also serve as a mentor for Surgical Technology students and staff, fostering the development of critical skills necessary for patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Registered Nurse in executing an age-appropriate care plan through delegated tasks.
  • Perform first and second scrub duties for uncomplicated surgical cases.
  • Exhibit expertise in sterile processing and surgical procedures, ensuring all equipment and instruments are prepared and utilized correctly.
  • Adapt to new procedures and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Contribute to a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program with certification.
  • Prior experience in surgical technology is preferred.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
