We are seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to join our team at the Hualapai Tribe. As a Paramedic, you will provide direct services and advanced life support care to victims of injury and illness in emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide prehospital advanced life support care to patients in emergency situations
- Perform complex diagnostics and medical procedures, including intravenous cannulation and endotracheal intubation
- Operate apparatus and ambulances, and respond to emergency calls
- Accurately complete written and verbal reports on patient care
- Perform daily inspections of apparatus and notify the captain of any conditions requiring repair or maintenance
- Ensure that inventory of supplies and equipment is complete and that equipment is maintained in good working order
- Comprehend and document complete and accurate patient histories
- Participate in training and public education programs
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- NREMT - Paramedic certification (must obtain AZDHS Paramedic certification at time of hire)
- Arizona class D Driver's License
- Must maintain driver insurability under tribal insurance
- ICS 100, 200, 700, 800
- COVID-19 vaccination record required or an exemption prior to start date
- Associates Degree in fire science, public administration, or related field
- ICS 300, 400
- Paramedic Fireline (EMPF)
The Paramedic will work in a fire station environment and respond to emergency calls, which may involve exposure to hazardous materials, fire, and other dangerous conditions. The employee must be able to move independently up to 50 pounds, pull objects weighing 40 pounds or more, and frequently lift objects in excess of 100 pounds.
