We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Alice Peck Day Health Systems.
Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care to pediatric through geriatric patients, utilizing the nursing process, clinical judgment, and physician's orders. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in critical care, emergency care, post-anesthesia care, and ambulatory surgical care.
Responsibilities- Provide patient care using an integrated approach that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.
- Formulate an individual plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment, and evaluate overall plan for effectiveness.
- Communicate clinical information appropriately to provide for an interdisciplinary approach to the patient's needs.
- Collaborate with all ancillary departments and coordinate and supervise patient care as necessary.
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills, using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Perform physical/psychosocial assessment to collect data, follow the written plan of care, standards, practice guidelines, and utilize assessment data to identify patient care needs.
- Accurately and legibly document all patient care activities, including but not limited to, wound assessment, patient care teaching, demonstrated progress toward goals, medication administration, nursing flow sheets, and all assessment forms.
- Delegate tasks to the healthcare team members appropriately and demonstrate unit-specific competencies.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current New Hampshire license.
- Current BCLS certification required upon hire.
- Current ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Current PALS certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Two to three years experience in critical care, emergency care, post-anesthesia care, or ambulatory surgical care.
Position requires a pre-employment physical by Employee Health to determine if the employee is capable of meeting the requirements.
