Job Title: Environmental Investigator

Job Summary:

The Environmental Investigator will be responsible for conducting investigations into environmental crimes, including hazardous waste violations, and enforcing California's environmental laws. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct investigations into environmental crimes, including hazardous waste violations
  • Enforce California's environmental laws and regulations
  • Collect and analyze evidence, including samples and documents
  • Interview witnesses and suspects
  • Prepare and present cases to prosecutors and judges
  • Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science, law enforcement, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in environmental law enforcement or a related field
  • Valid California driver's license
  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain a POST certification
