Join Our Team as a Speech Language Pathologist

UW Health Rehabilitation Hospital is a leading provider of comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs. We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary team.

About the Role

As a Speech Language Pathologist at UW Health Rehabilitation Hospital, you will be responsible for assessing patients' communication and swallowing disorders, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' communication and swallowing abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' communication and swallowing disorders
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and physical therapists, to ensure comprehensive care
  • Participate in performance improvement and program development activities to enhance patient care and outcomes
  • Provide input into the budgetary planning process to ensure cost-effective services and programs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's and master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related field
  • A Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligibility to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow (CFY)
  • Licensure in the state of practice
  • Current Basic Life Support/CPR certification
