Position Overview:
As the Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Team Lead, you will oversee a dedicated group that collaborates with various programs to achieve model-based systems engineering objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
In this capacity, you will:
1. Develop a high-performing model-based systems engineering team.
2. Provide regular updates to executive stakeholders and clients.
3. Collaborate with colleagues to shape the future direction of MBSE within GE Aviation.
4. Rapidly acquire and internalize a comprehensive understanding of key priorities and client needs.
Ensure alignment with stakeholders to implement necessary data and process modifications in systems, adhering to project goals and timelines.
Guide daily activities of team members involved in project execution and delivery.
Champion Lean principles and development methodologies.
Continuously seek innovative approaches to enhance productivity.
Utilize project management tools to monitor progress and identify potential risks for specific initiatives.
Assist in resolving conflicting priorities through proactive communication of requirements, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
Act as an engaged leader, serving as a subject matter expert for assigned programs and development projects.
Collaborate with system leaders and functional teams to ensure compliance with product and service standards.
Share technical, procedural, and business insights with team members.
Educational Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics from an accredited institution.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in an engineering capacity.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive experience in MBSE.
Proven leadership capabilities.
Ability to prioritize projects based on competitive assessments and anticipate vulnerabilities, proposing mitigation strategies.
Foster a culture of customer-centricity and high performance to drive innovation.
Balance value creation for stakeholders with the needs of external customers.
Maintain continuous engagement focused on GE's strategy for customer satisfaction.
Establish a collaborative culture by defining decision rights and accountability, rewarding transparency and teamwork.
Set a clear vision, identify and advocate for best practices, tools, and ideas to enhance execution and quality.

This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Final offers will be contingent upon the ability to obtain authorization for access to such information from the U.S. Government.
