We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Access Specialist to join our team at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center. Key Responsibilities- Provide Exceptional Patient Service: Greet patients, physicians, and employees in a cordial and professional manner, providing exemplary customer service both on the phone and in person.
- Manage Patient Flow: Attain and maintain mastery level knowledge of all assigned medical practices, including provider/clinic schedules, patient scheduling preferences, and scope of services offered.
- Communicate Effectively: Courteously answer telephone calls, maintain mastery level understanding and utilization of the telephone console and all related functions, and follow HRRMC's communication policy, including telephone etiquette (AIDET).
- Schedule Patient Appointments: Proficiently enter new patient demographic information into the EHR, verify and revise established patient demographic information at each encounter, and schedule patient clinic appointments in EHR scheduling system according to practice guidelines and provider specifications.
- Education and Experience: High school degree, plus a minimum of three years of responsible business experience, preferably in a public relations, healthcare setting, or other professional setting.
