Job Title: RN Cardiology Clinic

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiology Clinic team at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our clinic.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Model positivity with all interactions, internally and externally, presenting the organization in a positive manner.
  • Communicate patient concerns or issues directly with their provider and consult with their immediate supervisor if necessary.
  • Develop clinical guidelines in collaboration with medical staff, clinic leadership, pharmacy, and other ancillary services.
  • Maintain knowledge and skill sets required to conduct patient education sessions related to their specific specialty/clinic area.
  • Master and maintain mastery level skill set with regards to the clinic/organization's electronic medical records systems.
  • Participate in daily practice huddles reviewing staffing, tracking reports, patient phone calls, and provider/patient schedule for the day.
  • Ensure patient phone calls are returned daily and consistent with HRRMC Communication Standards Policy.
  • Monitor and ensure that providers are checking medical necessity for any/all orders entered.
  • Act as a liaison between the hospital and local/consulting physician offices to thank them for referrals and close the patient referral loop.
  • Assist other nursing units/clinics during shortage and/or whenever requested.
  • Arrange for referrals to other medical or community agencies for patients who need further evaluation or treatment.
  • Perform other duties as requested and within the scope of practice for their position.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing.
  • Must maintain current, active license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado or within a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
  • BLS Certification required.
