Responsibilities:

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for executing a variety of ultrasound examinations at a level that does not require constant oversight.

This role includes training ultrasound staff, maintaining quality control, delivering excellent customer service, and optimizing the use of personnel and equipment in the Ultrasound and Echo departments.

The position operates under the general supervision of a radiologist and radiology management.

Individuals in this role are expected to adhere to all relevant laws and regulations, including organizational standards of conduct, and to seek guidance when necessary. They should promptly report any potential violations of policies or regulations and assist in investigations as required.

When necessary, the technologist will collaborate with facility leaders to assess risks and implement corrective measures as outlined by compliance protocols.


Qualifications:

REQUIRED:


The Senior Ultrasound Technologist must possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in sonography or a related field, with proficiency in at least 2 out of 3 ultrasound modalities.

Completion of formal ultrasound training from an accredited institution is mandatory.



PREFERRED:
Previous experience in a leadership role is advantageous.


Current certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS) or equivalent in at least one specialty area (e.g., Echocardiography, Doppler, Abdominal, or OB/Gyn) is preferred.

Additionally, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers is required.
