Position Overview:
Adena Corporation - Welder/Fabricator
Key Responsibilities:
- Review detailed schematics or specifications to determine job, material, and equipment needs.
- Utilize tools to cut, shape, and mold metal products for fabrication of parts or sub-assemblies.
- Set up and operate hand tools, machinery, torches, and welding equipment.
- Assemble components and structures by aligning and joining them through welding or bolting.
- Conduct routine inspections on assigned equipment and report any defects or necessary repairs.
- Follow the company's safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
- Opportunity to learn to operate computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines.

Desired Qualifications/Skills:
- Relevant education or a combination of experience, education, and training that equips the candidate with the necessary knowledge and skills.
- Physically capable of managing heavy materials, tools, and machinery.
- Must complete required training and certification before operating any equipment.
- Possess a valid driver's license or reliable transportation.
- Strong hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision when necessary.
- Dependable attendance and consistency in schedule adherence.
- Demonstrated work ethic and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Proficient in using tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Skill in accurately measuring with a tape measure.
- Ability to successfully complete a welding test.
- Experience in preparing and applying a shop coat of primer is advantageous.
- Flexibility in shift work as required by operational needs.
- Availability for emergency and outage work as needed.
