Position Overview

The Senior Personal Banker is responsible for delivering exceptional service in alignment with Fremont Bank's standards during every client interaction.

This role involves recommending or referring retail consumer and business products and services to both prospective and existing clients while fostering and maintaining internal partner relationships to enhance relationship growth.

This position meets sales targets through proactive outreach, external prospecting, and nurturing relationships with current clients within the branch. Depending on branch requirements, this role may involve handling cash transactions.
Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience:
Deliver outstanding service that aligns with or surpasses the bank's Six Diamond Experience standards in customer service.

Enhance and expand client relationships by effectively identifying needs through client needs assessment tools.


Accurately gather necessary new account documentation, input data, and prepare essential client paperwork for product and service sales.

Address client concerns and fulfill requests promptly, consistently, and professionally.

Relationship Development:
Articulate, promote, and refer Fremont Bank's products and services to both current and prospective clients.
Achieve assigned sales and referral goals while contributing to branch objectives, including referring clients to business partners when appropriate.
Maintain precise performance records, track pipeline activities, and regularly review performance outcomes with Branch Management.
Engage in internal and prospective client telemarketing and follow-up tasks as assigned by management.

Participate regularly in external business development initiatives, including individual and collaborative in-person business cold calling, as well as relevant community-based networking events.

Understand and accurately communicate consumer and business deposit and lending products.
Recommend and submit small business lending products and applications, including necessary documentation for expanding lending relationships.
Open new accounts and service existing accounts, including those of business clients.

Operational Duties:
Adhere to and explain bank policies and procedures as directed by management.
May involve cash handling and other deposit or payment-related transactions.
Ensure compliance with applicable State and Federal regulations and laws.
Accountable for executing all operational tasks with precision, attention to detail, and proper cash handling.
Perform various operational tasks as assigned by the supervisor, including branch opening and closing duties.

May assist with daily operational responsibilities, including but not limited to teller transactions, branch cash balancing, reviewing and processing Non-Sufficient Fund (NSF) items, and handling night deposits and cash shipments.

Actively prepare for and participate in branch meetings and training sessions.

Stay updated on job-related matters, bank promotions, changes in products, services, policies, or procedures; actively engage in industry-related seminars and training courses.

Responsible for remaining informed about business-related activities in other areas of the Bank.
Maintain a flexible work schedule, including weekends.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

4 years of sales and customer service experience in a client-facing banking environment with prior responsibilities in new consumer and business account openings or equivalent experience preferred.

Signing Authority preferred.
Demonstrated success in building client relationships and achieving banking sales and lending objectives.
Knowledgeable in small business deposit and lending products.
Proven success in small business lending, along with prospecting and cold calling new business opportunities.
Familiarity with bank products and services and demonstrated effectiveness in sales techniques.
Understanding of banking regulatory compliance issues.
Excellent listening and presentation skills.
Minimum 1 year of cash handling experience recommended.
Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
Basic computer literacy, including proficiency in a Windows-based environment and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Vision and hearing must be sufficient to interact with clients over the phone and in person.
Clear verbal communication skills are essential.
Ability to walk and stand for outside business development activities.
Willingness to perform telemarketing duties as assigned.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A professional appearance is required.
High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
