Phaidon International is partnering with a well-funded genetic medicines company to find a strong leader in the field of Translational Biomarkers. As a member of the Preclinical and Translational Sciences team, you will oversee support for several clinical programs and work closely with discovery and clinical teams to align efforts with program needs.

A successful candidate will have strong drug development experience from a translational perspective. This company is a leader in the genetic medicines industry, and you will have the opportunity to capitalize on its success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee Translational Biomarkers activities to ensure achievement of department objectives
  • Develop and execute the strategy for operating objectives, organizational structure, staffing requirements, space, and instrumentation
  • Oversee in-house infrastructure, systems, and procedures to ensure fit-for-purpose laboratory practices for analytical methods and testing in clinical study samples
  • Implement and maintain efficient processes and procedures to provide high-quality standards and study design, study execution, and timely reporting

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. and 10+ years of experience or Master's and 18+ years of experience
  • 10 years of relevant laboratory experience in a contract research organization, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical environment, working to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards, including management experience and budget responsibility
  • Demonstrated ability in problem-solving, quantitative, and critical thinking
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and make decisions
  • Proficient project management, presentation, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with diverse bioanalytical methods, including qRT-PCR, ELISA, MSD, Quanterix, SMC, LC-MS/MS
