Job Summary

Leidos is seeking a skilled Distribution Engineer to join our Power Delivery Services Team. As a valued team member, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, develop your skills, and contribute to the success of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop design and construction work packages for electrical overhead and underground distribution systems
  • Review and assess client-provided work, ensuring requirements are met
  • Perform engineering calculations, including structural analysis, guying calculations, and voltage drop analysis
  • Provide engineering support during construction, including post-construction reviews
  • Conduct root cause analysis of outages and mitigation using engineering principles and design
Requirements
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in electric distribution design engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited institution
  • Experience with utility reliability projects and proficiency with NESCA
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and willingness to perform field and office work
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous QAQC experience and experience with design tools such as Pole Foreman, O-Calc, and Spida-Calc
  • Relevant management or leadership experience and experience with the utility FirstEnergy or JCPL
