Job Title: Clinician I-IV

South Coast Children's Society, Inc. is seeking a skilled Clinician to join our team. As a Clinician, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to our clients, including assessment, psychotherapy, case management, and crisis intervention.

Job Summary:

The Clinician will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide cohesive care to our clients. This includes developing and implementing therapeutic treatment plans, facilitating therapeutic groups and family sessions, and collaborating with outside agencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of trauma-informed care, behavioral interventions, and therapeutic approaches for high-risk youth.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and family therapy, formulate diagnoses, and complete clinical assessments and treatment plans.
  • Utilize a trauma-informed approach when working with children and their families.
  • Administer measures such as the GAD-7 and PHQ-9 and utilize results to inform treatment.
  • Collaborate with the program's multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive and cohesive care.
  • Manage crisis situations and utilize de-escalation techniques as appropriate.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field required.
  • 1+ years' experience in report writing, assessment/diagnostic skills, group and family therapy skills.
  • Licensure, Registration, Certification: PsyD/PhD/LCSW/LMFT preferred. If not licensed, active registration with the California BBS or Board of Psychology as Registered Psychologist.
  • Valid CA driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.
  • Completion of CPR/First Aid within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
Working Conditions:

The Clinician will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to remain organized and manage multiple tasks at once. The position is eligible for bonuses and merit increases throughout your accumulation of clinical hours, attainment of licensure, and experience in the position post-licensure.

This is a hybrid position, requiring 1 day in the office with the possibility of more days dependent on client care and program needs.

The Clinician will have the opportunity to provide psychotherapy to commercially insured clients for an additional stipend through South Coast's Hope Healing Connection Program.
