A leading medical organization is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to work in a Pain Management office in New Jersey. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring smooth clinic operations. A minimum of 1 year of experience and a National Certified Medical Assistant Certification are required. The organization offers a competitive hourly rate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Interaction: Greet patients, verify patient information, and ensure accurate completion of all forms and records.
  • Vital Signs and Health Information: Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, etc.), take patient histories, and update electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Assisting with Procedures: Assist the pain management physician with medical procedures, including injections, nerve blocks, and other treatments. Prepare and sanitize equipment, maintain a sterile environment, and ensure patient comfort.
  • Patient Education: Provide patients with instructions for pain management treatments, including post-procedure care and medication administration guidelines.
  • Administrative Support: Schedule patient appointments, handle incoming calls, and maintain organized patient records. Perform insurance verification and handle pre-authorizations for procedures.
  • Medication Management: Prepare, administer, and document medications under the supervision of the physician. Assist in inventory management of medications and supplies.
  • Follow-up and Care Coordination: Assist with follow-up appointments, patient inquiries, and coordinating care with other healthcare providers when necessary.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintain patient confidentiality, and adhere to OSHA and HIPAA standards.

Requirements:

  • Certification: Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with a valid certification.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a pain management or medical office setting is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills; proficiency with EMR systems; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Arrangements:

  • Part Time or Full-Time
  • Maximum of 40 hours per week
  • Office hours are: 9 AM-7PM Monday-Saturday

Compensation:

  • $18 to $21 per hour

  • In the office located in Manalapan, NJ
